Description
LED Surtron
SURTRON SB is the equipment specifically designed for the treatment of coagulation, prior to the resection procedure, with the aim of reducing and eliminating bleeding during and after the treatment of parenchymal organs.
SURTRON SB helps to solve the bleeding problem that is always a major issue in liver resection, avoiding the need for blood transfusions, reducing post-operative sequelae and shortening the patient’s operative and post-operative hospital stay.
SURTRON SB uses an innovative, patented incremental radiofrequency generator, with automatic control of the energy delivered to the parenchymal target via a multi-electrode, comb-like device, to promote coagulation and the reduction of total parenchymal thickness at the level of the transection plane.
SURTRON® SB was designed and developed in LED SpA’s laboratories in collaboration with Tor Vergata University in Rome, Italy.
Patented US 8235991
It comprises
– an innovative incremental voltage RF generator
– disposable non-stick multi-electrode
– Guide designed to avoid electrodes
– A protective shield to facilitate electrode insertion and thermal insulation of tissues beneath the parenchyma.
